In 1971, Lennie and Juanita Butcher built Apollo Cleaning Center in Maclan Plaza on East Jackson Street in Macomb, Illinois. They wanted to provide the Macomb area with a fully attended and well maintained coin operated laundry that offered comfortable and pleasant surroundings.

Their son Bill and his wife Sharon bought the family business in 1988. In 1991 the business was extensively remodeled and expanded to provide for the addition of professional drycleaning services.

In October of 2000, after 29 years, Apollo Cleaning underwent another change by moving its entire operation to a new building at 503 West Jackson Street. Apollo takes great pride in providing customers the best service at times when they need it most.
